I admit my shock and dismay today at the news of the Alanis & Ryan Reynolds break-up. Forget Brad & Jen - I never liked them together anyway - but Alanis & Ryan captured my heart back in 2002 when their couplehood was official and in 2004 when they got engaged. I thought - yay! for Canucks south of the border finding love with each other. What could have gone wrong? Was it her bizarre blondification? Was it the hours he spent at the gym? Was the effect of chronic bi-coastal jetlag? Whatever the answer it is a sad day for beautiful Hollywood couples from the Great White North. I hope Rachel & Ryan are taking note.
